Aynsley Gold Gilt Tea Cup and Saucer - Lovely Victorian Pattern!
Aynsley Gold Gilt Tea Cup and Saucer
Item 4-1046
LOVELY Aynsley Bone China gold gilt on rose pink. Spectacular gilt design on this amazing set! Aynsley Porcelain China, England, was purveyor to the British royal family since the reign of Queen Victoria (reign 1837-1901), and this pattern is a wonderful example of this Victorian influence. Vines of gold weave play on the dark rose pink border, while an inner floral scroll border showcases the fabulous center victorian emblem pattern. The edges of both the cup and saucer are slightly scalloped. The cup carries a D-shaped handle with gold on a footed base. The cup measures 2 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The backstamp dates from the early 1920s. A FABULOUSLY SHOWY set!
