GORGEOUS sweet williams adorn this edition of English Flowers by PARAGON. The backstamp was used from 1957-1960 and then the royal warrant was reissued in 1963. This set may have been produced later when Royal Albert (Royal Doulton) absorbed Paragon. The English Flowers series closely resembles the Royal Albert flower series which was established in 1972. Paragon backstamps were not specifically dated but the stamp was used until the maker used up the supply of ink. The cup and saucer are in very good condition with no evident gold wear. The footed cup measures 3" high and 3 1/2" wide and has a slight corset style. The saucer measures 5 1/2" wide with a slight scalloped edge. A BEAUTIFUL SET!
