REMARKABLE Paragon Cliveden tea cup and saucer.  Lavishly decorated with gilt and roses, with a deep purple base and even more gilt.  The cup has a slightly ribbed relief on both the outside and inside.  The dating of the backstamp is circa 1963.  The backstamp is different in that most stamps list 'Her Majesty The Queen'. This backstamp reads 'By Appointment to H.M. The Queen, China Potters PARAGON China Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, G Cliveden, Made in England, Rg'd L/L'.  The tea cup measures 2 3/4" tall by 3 1/2" across, the saucer 5 1/2" across.  This lovely set is in very good condition.
