DRAMATIC DEEP BLUE Made in Japan tea cup and saucer. This unique set is decorated in the mud paint used to make dragonware, however the scene is that of trees, mountains and pagoda. The porcelain is very thin and see-through on the cup. The cup has a gold handle but the trim is brown. There are no chips or cracks in the pocelain but there is a minor hairline on the raised mud decoration. The tea cup measures 2 1/4" high and 3 1/2" across. The backstamp indicates it is a pre-1950 era teacup.
