STRIKING Aynsley Bone China dark burgundy wine background with gilt leaf and vine decor, accented with pink and white wild roses on the inside of the tea cup.  Footed and raised relief tea cup with flat thumb rest which is generously gold trimmed.  The tea cup and saucer are gold trimmed and have an elongated raised relief petal pattern.  The backstamp was used from 1939.  The teacup measures 3 1/4" across the rim and 2 3/4" high, the saucer measures 5 1/2" across.
